Harrow pharmacy sold to first time buyer

We are pleased to announce the successful sale of Sudbury Court pharmacy in Harrow which has sold to a first time buyer. We hope the seller can now enjoy his long deserved retirement after committing most of his life to community pharmacy. We are sure that the new owner will continue to provide an excellent service to the local community and develop the pharmacy in the future. We wish both the best for the future.

What were your concerns going into the sale process?

How long it would take to complete a potential sale of the business, and generally not knowing much or having much experience in how the sale would work.

What made you choose Hutchings to handle your sale?

Hutchings were recommended through the NPA, we came to know about them through a leaflet/newsletter that came through to the pharmacy. We were very impressed by the feedback we read in these communications from others who had also used Hutchings and that encouraged us to make an enquiry. What do you think will be the biggest benefits for you, now you have sold the business?

A nest egg for our retirement.

Is there anything you would like to add that may be useful for pharmacy owners who are thinking of selling to know, having been through the process?

I would advise any pharmacy owners to get the legal and regulatory requirements of their business analysed early so that they can make the correct changes to it to ensure that the pharmacy is in a sellable condition as soon as possible –  otherwise they may be likely to experience delays and further issues down the line.
