At Hutchings Consultants it’s not just all about business, we believe it’s important to give something back to society and our local community.

Charities we are proud to support are:

We are so very grateful to Anne and the team at Hutchings for lending their generous support to help our charity.  Their dedication, enthusiasm and kind presence within the garden (and above it as we develop our strategy) is quite simply invaluable.

Kyle Banks, Charity Director, Missenden Walled Garden Charity

The ‘Walled Garden Social Care Day Service’, was formally run by Buckinghamshire County Council until 2017 when it was threatened with closure.  Parents and local supporters were able to mount a challenge, rescue the operation and form a charity in June 2017. Since then, their numbers have grown by over 40%.

For five days a week, their team of 10 (5FTE) staff and 20 volunteers, support and empower over 50 adults with disabilities and mental health issues.  Their gardeners (as they call them), range from being in their 20’s to their 70’s.

The charity works in partnership with the gardeners and the team at Missenden Abbey, delivering a sizeable contract to maintain all horticultural aspects of the site.  The gardeners also work indoors, within the glass-houses and education centre, growing plants and taking part in other activities such as art, craft and music. The food grown is used in the kitchens of the Abbey, lending a strong sense of value to what the gardeners do.

Rennie Grove Hospice Care provides specialist care and support for adults and children with a life-limiting illness in Buckinghamshire and west Hertfordshire. Through their unique Hospice at Home service, available day and night, and a range of day services they support patients to live the best quality life they can with a choice about how and where they are cared for towards the end of life.

They are also there for the families of their patients, ensuring that everyone can receive the right support, when they need it, to help them make every moment together matter.

The care is provided at no cost to their patients and families and is made possible by the generous donations they receive from the local community.

Mencap is the leading voice of learning disability, everything they do is about valuing and supporting people with a learning disability, and their families and carers. They want a world where people with a learning disability are valued equally, listened to and included. Mencap are here to improve the lives of people with a learning disability and their families now, and fight alongside them for a better future.

The services they provide range from round-the-clock care to helping someone join in with local leisure activities, providing advice and information on things like employment and education, helping someone to live independently for the first time, and even things like reporting a crime to the police.

In a nutshell, they try to help in any area of a person’s life where they need support.
