Donald had been so impressed with the way we handled the sale of his pharmacy that in 2011 he contacted us again as his wife Alison, was now thinking of selling her pharmacy and her share in a health centre pharmacy.
Our Sales Manager for Scotland Linda Drabwell arranged to meet up with Donald and Alison straight away to go through their requirements and collect the papers to undertake the valuation. Alison was not 100% sure if the time was right to sell. We kept in touch with market updates and they in turn with developments from their side. In January 2012, Alison rang to say she was now ready to sell.
We had a lot of interest in Alison’s pharmacy but the banks were not too keen to loan on the SHC share element of the sale and some of the buyers asked if they could purchase the stand alone shop only. This was not an option.
We found the ideal buyer who’d been a group pharmacy owner previously. She was looking for a new business opportunity and had cash. This alleviated any issues involving the banks and Alison accepted her offer. Alison chose a solicitor from our recommended panel and with regular and consistent liaison through ourselves, we managed to complete the deal within two months.

“Your firm sold my husband Donald’s shop a couple of years ago and he was extremely pleased with your service and the price received so I had no hesitation in contacting you for the sale of my own two businesses. Through your expertise and marketing you introduced us to the right buyer for the shops. I was also impressed with the service and would like to thank Linda for all her help and assistance given to me during the sale.”
